Despite efforts by regional mediators such as Qatar and Oman towards seeking a diplomatic solution for reopening the vital oil channel, Iran says the passage will be closed until the US removes its naval blockade, releases the frozen assets, and withdraws the sanctions against oil imports from there. The US President Donald Trump, however, said that he does not rush into negotiations.
